About the Role
-
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our assembly and fabrication team and oversee all production, warehouse, and inventory operations. This is a working supervisory role in a small, specialized manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of assembly and fabrication staff, participating directly in hands-on production, and ensuring that all custom installations are completed to the highest standard and on schedule.

Job Description
Production Supervision and Coordination
-
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of 2 to 3 assembly workers who fabricate, assemble, and inspect custom artificial plant and tree installations

Establish production workflows and methods to meet client order schedules and quality standards

Coordinate production activities with the sales and client services team to ensure client specifications are accurately communicated and executed

Resolve production problems as they arise and recommend measures to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency

Train workers in fabrication techniques, equipment operation, health and safety procedures, and company standards

Prepare production reports, track project progress, and maintain accurate records of all production activities

Set up and operate equipment and machinery required for fabrication and assembly including forklifts, pallet lifters and foam-in-place packaging systems
Hands-On Fabrication and Design

Participate directly in the design and fabrication of custom artificial plant and tree installations for commercial clients including hotels, restaurants, and retail environments

Interpret and execute client specifications and design briefs

Select appropriate materials, plants, containers, and structural components for each project and demonstrate techniques to production staff

Inspect and review finished installations to ensure they meet client specifications and quality standards before delivery
Warehouse and Inventory Operations

Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure accuracy of all shipping and receiving records

Manage inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment

Ensure the warehouse and production areas are organized, efficient, and compliant with applicable health and safety requirements

Requirements
-
Completion of secondary school is required
-
Several years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or production environment, with demonstrated supervisory or lead-hand responsibilities

Experience in artificial plant design, decorative arts, floral design, visual merchandising, or a related hands-on fabrication field is a strong asset

Experience operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment is required

Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and coordinate a small production team

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Physical ability to perform the requirements of the role including lifting and handling of materials
